Should there be some exemptions made in regards to the "separation of church and state" & historical landmarks?

Here's a simple solution: If the building is still being used for religious practice, the government should not use it. If it was only used for religious purposes in the past (like the Parthenon or Hagia Sophia), then it's fair game.
