A couple traveling questions, from illinois to mexico? please help...?

Okay I am planning a roadtrip scrapbook for my drivers ed project. I need to know what routes I would to go from Illnois to Guadalajara, Mexico. (even just a website that could show me how to find the routes would help), and what landmarks I would find along the way. Thank you so much
