Is getting a mac worth all the criticism i'l get?

I plan to buy a Mac Mini this summer, I know macs are better (for me anyway) but a lot of people I know are just mac-hating, pc-loving, people who would refuse to accept someone buying a mac and who would refuse to even give mac a chance because they've been brainwashed into thinking that apple computers arent good, especially my brothers, they think nothing is wrong with windows and you're just paying for apple's fancy hardware, where OSX is way less buggy and crashes way less than any version of windows, even 7. even when i try to tell people the mac mini has pretty good specs, and that it can even run black ops no problem through bootcamp, they still say "ooh its not upgradable" and stupid stuff like that, but what it comes with in terms of hardware is more than what i'm gonna need it for. i'l probably do some light gaming on it, because i use my 360 for most of my gaming anyway. how can i they to get people to forget the lies they've heard about apple and just let me buy a mac without being so biased?
