Ho wto deal with realizing my reality and my disappointments?
Being a good mother to a child that loves and depends on you is not "droneness" and lasts a lot longer than the love of a fan club. So maybe you don't win an Oscar or walk the runways of Paris, but you get to be the biggest influence, support and mentor of the most important person you will ever have the honor of knowing...your child. Be careful not to let the "what if" turn into resentment towards your child. She will feel it no matter how well you think you are hiding it. If you want to be a writer, you don't have to get paid for it to start doing it...start a blog about your life. If you want to act, audition for community theater. If you want to be loved and adored by throngs of adoring fans then grow up and realize that's a very shallow goal compared to being the best mom you can be. Your life doesn't have to be "droneness"....it can be what you make it when you realize you aren't the car you are the driver and how you react to where you are is a free choice...therefore if you are miserable, you are choosing to be....you have more to appreciate than you think.
