Good digital SLR cameras?

I am looking for a good black digital SLR camera that has a variety of up to date settings and that is also not too big. I would use it around the house and on outings generally taking pictures of people or landmarks say. I want a good quality image that also looks good blown up on a computer or telly.Thank you x
