Will "freedom of religion" ever be scrutinized for the teaching of children under 7 years of age?

It's the parents decision to have their children follow their religion. Once they reach a certain age, they can make up their own minds. I think it would go against "freedom of religion" if one were to say to a parent that they weren't allowed to teach their religion to their children, wouldn't it?
